200g of Granular Activated Carbon, ideal for Aquarium fish keeping, marine tanks and koi ponds. Absorbs and removes high levels of Chlorine, organic compounds, THMs and other halogens from the water. 

Being Granular, this carbon has a much higher surface area than carbon pellets or pelleted carbon for fish keeping. Highest quality and meets NSF/ANSI Standard 61.

Granular Activated Carbon (GAC)

GAC is one of the best low-cost methods for removing organic compounds & chemicals, including chlorine, Trihalogenated Methane Compounds (THMs) and other halogens from water feeds. Used predominately for economic high capacity filtration, this makes Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) highly effective for purifying water for fish keeping.

Granular activated carbon has a higher surface area than pelleted carbon, allowing for maximum filtration speed and efficiency. This carbon we have for sale here is produced from coconut shell and is certified to NSF/ANSI standard 61, ensuring this carbon is free from any harmful contaminants and heavy metals. This carbon is of the highest quality ideal for fish keeping and even meeting the required standards to be used for drinking water filtration.
